The GymTot preschool gymnastics program here at Ascension is a special theme-based program especially geared toward the young mind and bodies of children 1.5 to 5 years old. Our preschool students enjoy their own special area where fundamental gymnastics skills geared toward the child’s age and ability allow for maximum enjoyment and learning. Our preschool equipment and circuit based lesson plans are always prepared with safety and fun as priorities. Our GymTot students leave with smiles to spare.

Ascension offers gymnastics classes for beginning to advanced girls ages 4-16 years old.  Safety, hard work, and life skills such as confidence, perseverance, patience, and kindness toward others are all emphasized in our recreational girls program.  Girls will have the opportunity to learn skills in 4 gymnastics events: vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise as well as trampoline, flexibility and conditioning.

 The new boy's recreational gymnastics program here at Ascension offers beginner classes for ages 6-12 years old.  We emphasize the importance of safety, hard work, and life skills such as confidence, perseverance, patience, and kindness toward others in our boys program.  Boys will have the opportunity to learn skills on the gymnastics events including parallel bars, pommel horse, vault, high bar, and floor exercise as well as, trampoline, flexibility and conditioning.

The challenges, strength, flexiblity and body awareness learned  in our boys classes are great cross training for other sports!

Ascension is excited to start a new trampoline and tumbling program for boys and girls ages 6-16.  Our Trampoline and Tumbling classes will offer experience focused on proper trampoline safety and technique as well as basic to advanced tumbling skills. Safety, hard work and important life skills are a basis of trampoline and tumbling class learning and experiences with tons of fun all wrapped up together.

Future Stars is an invitational pre-team girls program geared toward preparing young gymnasts for competitive gymnastics.  The gymnasts who are asked to be a part of this class are motivated to excel and are encouraged and to bring their gymnastics experience to the next level. Through hard work and dedication,  Future Stars will learn skills, flexibility and strength on all four women’s artistic events.

Ascension Athletics is a member of the USA Gymnastics Developmental Program. We offer competitive opportunities for girls Level 2-10. In our compulsory program Levels 2-5, gymnasts focus on fundamentals skills and routines in the 4 women's artistic events with opportunities to travel to gymnastics competitions. Levels 6-10 are given opportunities to further their skill level, gymnastics competitive experience, and challenge their abilities in optional gymnastics. Gymnasts must meet both age and skill ability for each level. Gymnasts are invited based on coach's recommendation.  Please see the front desk for information.
